The 4 Habits I Used to Release My Past and Reclaim My Life

Hello, beautiful souls,

Once I let go of the paradigms, stories, and beliefs from my past, my entire life opened up. The universe truly does not like a void—and everything I released was replaced with the desires of my heart. But getting there wasn’t a single decision; it was a practice.

For a long time, I was stubborn. My hurt feelings were comfortable, like a familiar home. But comfort can become a prison. One day, I decided I was done letting the past define me. That choice led me to exhilarating freedom through four specific habits I still live by today.

Habit 1: “Don’t Care” What Others Think

The first habit was a conscious decision to stop being concerned with what other people thought of me. Whether they liked me, judged me, or criticized me—it no longer mattered.

Why? Because I know who I am: an infinite spiritual being, a powerful creator, and inherently worthy. And so are you.

This shift released a massive amount of pressure and gave me back my own authority.

Habit 2: Forgive Yourself First

Forgiveness of self became a daily practice. I forgave myself for all the things I thought I should have done differently, and I began treating myself with more kindness.

We are not guaranteed tomorrow, so why wait to give yourself the love and grace you deserve today?

Habit 3: Use the “I Am More Than That” Release Exercise

The most profound shift came from a powerful, one-minute exercise that can release a lifetime of limiting beliefs.

The practice is simple but transformative: whenever a limiting thought arises, use your voice to declare—
“I am more than that.”

This affirmation bypasses the ego and allows you to step into your truth. In my video, I demonstrate this Release Exercise so you can practice it yourself.

Habit 4: Forgive Others and Let Go

Finally, I turned toward forgiving others. Resentments are like cancers of the soul, and I made a list of everyone I needed to forgive. I consciously let each one go.

Even today, if a name or memory comes up again, I simply say, “I bless you,” and release it once more.

Forgiveness doesn’t excuse what happened—it frees you.

The Freedom That Awaits You

Doing this work is not for the faint of heart, but what kept me going was the profound desire to be free from the shackles of the past.

True freedom begins when you:

  • Bypass the ego
  • Forgive yourself completely
  • Extend forgiveness to others

That’s when you start to feel lighter. That’s when you remember—you are enough.

Support on Your Forgiveness Journey

If you’d like support, I created a special guided Ho’oponopono meditation just for you. You’ll find it in the video description. And if you’re still feeling stuck after that, I invite you to book a free attunement call with me. Together, we can release what’s holding you back so you can step into the life you were meant to live.
